Some covers stop you mid-scroll. When Jaimie Hilfiger's digital cover for L'Officiel Baltic landed, shot by Berting Photography under the headline "Style, Legacy, Influence," it did exactly that. Jaimie is more than a cover muse here: she is an heiress to a fashion dynasty, and a cover called Style, Legacy, Influence is her story told in a single frame.

For the cover look, Jaimie wore an actual Dream Couture by Laura evening gown: a rose pink liquid satin design of mine with a structured corset bodice, a softly draped hip detail, and a dramatic mermaid skirt that pools and sweeps at the hem. Liquid satin is unforgiving in the best way: it catches every fold of light, so the cut has to be architectural. This one is. The corset sculpts the waist, the bow detail at the back adds an editorial surprise, and the skirt photographs like poured silk in motion. Every seam was hand-finished in my studio, so the gown fit her the way couture should: built for the body, not altered to it.

The setting did half the work of the mood: a candle-lit stone corridor wrapped in greenery and string lights. Warm gold bokeh against dusty rose satin is a combination that flatters everything, so we leaned into it. The jewelry stayed layered and personal: stacked gold and turquoise necklaces worn long against the bare neckline, a sculptural green cuff, and diamond drop earrings. Mixed metals and organic stones kept the look modern rather than formal, which is exactly the register a digital cover wants.

Laura's styling notes: a strong color like rose pink earns its power when the rest of the frame stays quiet. Keep hair soft and swept to one side so the corset neckline reads clean, let the jewelry stack but never compete, and always shoot liquid satin against warm light; it turns fabric into a highlight. If you are petite, a mermaid hem with a small train reads editorial, not costume, as long as the bodice fits like it was made for you.

Working with Jaimie on this cover was one of those full-circle moments. Legacy is easy to inherit; style is built. Watching her carry a gown like this one, calm, precise, and completely at ease in front of the lens, reminded me why editorial styling is my favorite kind of work, especially when the frame is built around a Dream Couture gown.
